Training the Half Pass BETA Course

This is a brand new, never-before-offered course being released for the first time in 2025.

The Half Pass is one of the key Dressage Movements that can feel like a unicorn. Riders (and horses alike) struggle with it because it is not something you can “install” in a weekend. Instead, it is the final result and reward of an assortment of other skills and abilities. Yet, this doesn’t help if you don’t know what those are or how specifically to develop the horse on the right path. In this course, we will guide you and your horse from the beginning stages of ensuring the most important prerequisites are in place to introducing the movement skills that your horse needs, introducing the first half passes in a way that is EASY for you and your horse, and eventually polishing and improving the half pass. We will cover the horse gymnastic development, rider’s seat and aids, as well as troubleshooting the many problems that can come up along the way. You will learn how to harness that unicorn and turn it into a beautiful half pass that delightfully feels like it glides effortlessly as if on rails!

This course will be complete with 9 Q&As, 8 Hot Seat Sessions, and all the other bells and whistles you expect from a Ritter Course.

As a beta course member, your input and questions will be integrated into the creation of the course. This way we make sure we create the most complete course on the topic as is possible AND you can be confident that you will get what YOU need out of this course!

The course begins February 2025

"These courses address detail of riding instruction not even considered traditionally. They provide bridges between what you think you know over waters to cross you didn't even know existed & you'll be able to do so at your own pace having lifetime access to complete and review. Without a doubt you'll learn things you did not realise were missing from your riding education”  - Karen Veronneau

This is a Beta course - what you need to know

As this is the first time we are ever teaching this course, we create the course content as we teach it. That means, there may be adjustments to the course content release schedule, the Q&A schedule, etc. as we move through the course.

This happens as we accommodate the ideas generated by teaching the course. (And sometimes weather conditions, etc. can hold up filming modules etc).

Mostly we find that there is nearly always something more we wish to add, once we get into it, and sometimes this means we need to adjust the schedule accordingly. Please be aware that this is a possibility, but it will be to make the course better!

Also remember that you sign-up for this beta round a price reduction in exchange for your feedback, and permission to share your success story with the world at the end of the course.

Upon successful completion of the beta round and completing the below requirements, you will be granted lifetime access to the course content of this program and will be invited to participate in the next run of the course for FREE. After that point, you will be invited to participate in any future releases of the course although a small admin fee may apply.

Beta Round Student Requirements:

  1. The beta course requires a one-time investment of €497.
    2. A testimonial for the course: written or video. Optional alternative: be featured in a case study interview before the beginning of the next course.
    3. Complete the course and stay on schedule. Attend the Q&As or watch the recordings afterwards.
    4. Complete the pre-course and end-of-the-course Questionnaire. Let us know: where you were when you started and where you ended up. What did you like? What didn’t you like? Was anything confusing? Was anything missing?
